After quite some time of procrastinating, Paula and I finally succumbed and purchased the ‘Gears of War’ xbox 360 Live package.
Not only did we get the Gears of War game but also Project Gotham Racing 3 (PGR 3) and ‘Dead or Alive 4’.
I fell in love with Gears of War when I played the multiplayer version with my grandson, Sebastian, recently.
I am just doing the training session to get the hang of the controls, which of course are backwards to the PS3. But there is lots of action and it won’t take long to get the hang of it.
Seeing we brought the awesome Sony 40″ HDV 1080 tv to go with the PS3, we are able to have all three gaming platforms plugged in at the one time. So it’s no problem to alternate between playing Gears of War on xbox, Zelda on Wii or Fear on PS3. So life is pretty great for this gaming mama.
We also purchased ‘Oblivion’, The Elder Scroll IV, which I already have on PC, so not too much is going to get done around here for a while.
We were going to wait for the Xbox Elite but it appears that it may not be released in Australia until October or later, so we decided not to wait expecially when you consider that the only thing we were looking at it for is the 120 gb harddrive, which will be able to be purchased as an add on for the 360 at a later stage. So we decided the 20gb harddrive was big enough for now.
We are still waiting on our complimentary blu-ray movie, Casino Royale, in recognition of having been one or should I say two of the first 20,000 people to register their PS3 on line.
