If you have a PS2 or PS3 and haven’t gotten yourself a Singstar game as yet then I can highly recommend you buy one.
Singstar, for those that don’t know, is a Playstation karaoke game and it is a lot of fun at parties or even if you just have a few friends over. You don’t need to know what the words are to the songs as they are printed on the screen and at the end of the song you are graded depending on how well you did as it recognizes your pitch and timing. You can also sing along with a friend in a ‘Battle’ to see who is the better singer.
Wanda already mentioned in previous posts about Resistance: Fall of Man and Genji: Days of the Blade which were the first couple of PS3 games we bought, but we also went and bought ourselves a Singstar pack as well. In the pack was the USB converter, two microphones and a Singstar disk. The microphones are really good quality..better than I expected actually…and the disks come with a variety of songs depending on your taste.
Of course we didn’t just buy the starter pack as being the big shoppers that we are we had to buy a variety of disks as well, so we ended up with the original Singstar disk, Singstar Anthems, Singstar Rocks, Singstar Legends and Singstar 80’s. I think we are just missing Singstar Pops.
The other night Wanda invited me and a couple of other friends over to her place for dinner and we spent most of the night just singing along to the songs. Not having the best voice in the world I was a bit hesitant at the start but after a while you just warm up to it and have fun. The worse you sound the more fun you have!
One of the crew took all very seriously but the rest of us just had a ball and squealed with delight when someone did well and all laughed with each other if we bombed.
