Tragedy in the USA – Virginia Tech Killing

April 17, 2007 //  Leave a Comment

Today started of with the tragic news of a gunman shooting 32 students at Virginia Tech in the USA today.

What is it that makes people snap and set about taking so many innocent lives. Schools and Universities should be a place where our children feel safe. Actions like the one taken today by a man who quarrelled with his girlfriend and then felt justified in shooting her and so many other students and teachers are just incomprehensible to the majority of the population.

What a totally terrifying experience for the young people who survived, nothing will ever erase the memory of seeing their friends and classmates get shot.

And then the assailant kills himself. Why the hell didn’t he do that to start with.

It isn’t as if he was even one of those sick bastards like Martin Bryant who shot so many people in Tasmania, and who want to set a record of how many people they can kill to set some sort of sick kill record.

It’s a sad occasion for all those families who lost loved ones today.
