Just had one of those weeks where there is so much going on that I haven’t made time to blog.
My grandson, Sebastian, was out at the property in Tara with my husband and he came off the motorbike. Well the front wheel sunk in the soft mud and the bike toppled over and as he attempted to jump away the mirror shaft gouged his leg and took a fist sized chunk out of it.
This of course resulted in a dash into Tara hospital, where they were unable to do much but put in a drip and clean up the wound. Val (husband) then had to take Seb to the hospital in Toowoomba for treatment. For the uninitiated, Toowoomba is a 2 hour drive from Tara.
So Val dropped Seb off in hospital at Toowoomba and carried on home to Brisbane. Val alternates his time between living in the country and living in Woody Point on the beach. I spend my time commuting between Canberra, Brisbane and Tara. So life never gets boring.
Seb ended up in hospital for a couple of days, the doctors opened the gash even further so they could stitch the wound up. He was released and has to take it easy for the next two weeks. Although he has been complaining of the inactivity to his mother, I am sure he will be quite enjoying having endless hours to play with the x-box live that his girlfriend brought him for xmas last year.
There is never a dull moment in the household.
